When is best to book ?
If you are thinking of travelling during peak times it is definitely book earlier rather than later. If you are going to go with a Tour operator, rather than the put it together websites, you will find 'early bird' offers and deals, free child places etc. Booking very early can sometimes mean you can get this years prices for next year.
Leaving it until last-minute during peak times is a risky business - you may get a good deal but it is also likely that options are low and prices are high.
All inclusive, Self catered, Bed and Breakfast or Half Board ?
This comes down to personal preference however Palma and indeed the whole of Mallorca has great places to eat at reasonable prices. Hence if you do choose Half Board you must try some of the local options at lunch time. If you decide on bed and breakfast or are self catering, you can find some outstanding places to eat.
